YOU ARE UNLIKELY TO ACQUIRE A PUPPY FROM PUGADISE AS PUPPIES ARE ALMOST NEVER SURRENDERED.

At Pugadise we strive to find homes for Pugs in need of a new one. At Pugadise our objective is finding the right home for the Pug, not the other way around. While there will always be people who want a low cost, exotic pet there may not always be a Pug available from Pugadise for them.

Pugadise hold their first responsibility to the Pug, their second to the owner. Pugadise want to match the Pug to the owner so that the owner is eternally in love with their Pug, because that means the Pug will be eternally loved. We want you to be happy, however the Pug is our first priority.

Pugadise gets calls from the most unsuitable new owners you could imagine however they do not represent a problem. Our problem is deciding from those who are actually equipped and motivated to care for a rescued Pug.

Pugs are not the easiest breed of dog to care for, and are not without health problems. They are generally robust loving pets but do require care and attention. (See About Pugs) Adopting a Pug is a serious undertaking that could lead to an abundance of light hearted love in your household but comes with a degree of responsibility.

If you are serious download the application form, fill it in and snail mail it to us. Please read it carefully. It may seem lighthearted but it still represents a contract once you sign it.

What you can expect from Pugadise

Firstly you can expect us to carefully evaluate every application we receive. Then Pugadise will contact you to further discuss your form. We contact every applicant, usually within one week of receiving the form. If you post a form from within Australia and don't get a call within two weeks we probable didn't receive the form, so call us to discuss how we can avoid the perils of Australia Post.

If you meet our criteria but Pugadise don't currently have a Pug for you we will ask your permission to contact other reputable rescues on your behalf. We work closely with Pug Rescues in other states who share our ethics. We can also place you on our waiting list.

If/when you are offered a Pug by Pugadise we will spend as much time with you as you feel necessary in order to be confident in caring for the Pug. We offer this sort of support for the life of the Pug. If you have a problem all you need do is call us for advice.

The Pug you receive will be de-sexed, Vet checked, vaccinated, wormed and microchiped. The Pug will be accompanied by authentic paperwork for its registration according to the Companion Animal Act, a de-sexing certificate and any other relevant paperwork available. It may also be accompanied by pedigree papers. Pugadise will give you a sample of the diet the Pug is currently eating and instructions on its proper feeding, and how to transition to the diet of your choice. Pugadise will give you as much information about your Pug as we can, after all, you are the one who will need to know.

Pugadise also offer boarding for the Pug on a first come first serve basis. We don't have unlimited space however, if you are planning a trip and want to know your Pug will be looked after let us know in advance. We love to see our Pugadise Pugs come back for a week or two.
