| FAQsDo Pugs really need rescuing? The increased popularity for Pugs has not led to an increase in education about them or the sudden enlightenment of the average pet owner with regard to responsible pet care. Pugs can have problems and impulse decisions can have long term consequence. Other situations also arise that render Pugs in need of loving homes that are often no body's fault. We try to assist Pugs, whatever the situation. Have you got any Pug Puppies?Everybody loves a Puppy! Rarely do Pug Puppies need our rescue services. When they do they are inevitably very ill or suffer extreme cosmetic deformities. If you want a Pug puppy please contact Mopsland, the RNSWCC or email us so we may refer you to a reputable breeder. Young Pugs do come occasionally. Do you give Pugs away free?We are a non profit service. While our Vet, who gives excellent service, is very generous with our rescue Pugs we are not wealthy. We don't give Pugs away free, nor do we make a profit from them. We do assess each dog on a case by case basis. We have a ceiling that does not exceed the discounted cost of preparing the Pug but takes into consideration available new owners financial abilities. A Pug from Pugadise will always cost a small fraction of the price of a pedigree Pug. How can we help?We can accept your donation. Please feel free to post your donation with your contact details to our address and a receipt will be mailed to you. We are a registered charity and an incorporated body subject the the auditing process required under the Associations Incorporation Act 1984 and the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991. That said you can help most by looking after your pet responsibly, and by acting in ways that encourage people to take pet ownership seriously. You need not be evangelistic about it, just prompt people to think about the suffering of our little friends who ask for so little and give so much. If you travel the east coast of Australia often and don't mind some company please call us, transporting Pugs is our second biggest cost next to Veterinary care.
